Clark County is accepting applications for a Full-time Veterans Service Officer position. Applications may be picked up at the Clark County Judge’s Office. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, except for holidays. Phone (870) 246-5847.
Qualifications: Honorably discharged veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States, or the spouse or
surviving spouse of an honorably discharged veteran. Must be a person of good reputation and high moral character. Must have good computer skills to conduct internet searches, submit claims electronically, etc. Must have knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations regarding veteran benefits. Must pass a background check.
Required Training! Must complete “Initial Training” conducted by the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs and pass the final exam with a score of 75% or greater. Initial training is for a period of up to four (4) days.
